Hi, my name is Lillith and I'm a doll maker.
I have made dolls all my life but as an adult I have mainly focused on ball jointed dolls.
I make cast dolls out of polyurethane for myself and for sale as well as the occasional one of a kind art doll out of other materials. I describe myself as semi-professional. I don't make much of a profit, but the doll hobby needs to earn it's keep.
I am the person behind LillimBJD.
I got into BJD back in the early two thousands. I bought my first ready made BJD in 2006, I believe, and I have nice collection now but much of the attraction has always been how close the owners are to the makers in this hobby. I remember early independent makers like Batchix posting their projects on various forums and it inspired me to start experimenting myself.
I had some previous experience will doll making in various materials and techniques, but the road to a fully jointed and cast doll has been long. And It would have been even longer if I didn't have The Joint and other forums to learn from and receive valuable advice and feedback over the years. And I still have much to learn.
I am at a point where I can make and cast dolls that are reasonably professional looking, but I am still working hard on getting good at saturated colors and I am slowly upgrading my equipment, one expensive step at a time, towards a more streamlined and reliable production.
I'm looking forward to see what this place has to offer.
